Serving locals and travellers for over 100 years

Built as a pub in 1891, but if it seems to have changed little since then on the surface, rest assured that the Rose and Crown is geared up for the demands of modern pub-goers who expect, great food and drink, and a warm welcome for all.

A single bar pub which is split up into intriguing alcoves and corners, the pub specialises in quality home-cooked food with a varied menu available throughout the day & evening - 12-9.30pm right through.

Children are always welcome at the Rose and Crown, and we have a menu just for them. On warmer days they make a beeline for the pub's large garden and play equipment.

Always a pub with a friendly & welcoming atmosphere, regular events at The Rose and Crown include an evening of live jazz and we also cater for parties and wedding receptions in the function room.

Our function room can also double up as a skittle alley. For large or small groups wishing to hire the skittle alley please contact us to discuss the options.
